Michiana Club Repair is a family-run golf service owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Stephen and Kelly Sanderson in South Bend, Indiana. We launched this small business from our home after moving to South Bend in early 2025 to be closer to family as we raise our almost two-year-old daughter, who already loves hanging out on the course.

 

Golf has shaped our lives both personally and professionally.

Stephen is a former PGA Professional who transitioned into a Branch Manager role at 1st Source Bank to create a better work-life balance for his family, yet his passion for playing hasn’t slowed down. He still competes in USGA amateur events and brings a wealth of expertise from his Professional Golf Management degree at Penn State University. His career includes positions at some of the country’s most respected clubs on the East Coast, such as Saucon Valley Country Club, where he served as Head Golf Professional.

Kelly played Division I golf at Seattle University before beginning her career at Manchester Country Club while finishing her degree. She went on to become a PGA Class A professional, serving at Wellesley Country Club, then as a teaching professional at John’s Island Club, where she and Stephen met. Kelly later became the Director of Instruction at The Creek Club and eventually moved to Pennsylvania to work at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. After settling in South Bend, she worked at South Bend Country Club while coaching high school golf before accepting her current role as Director of Athletics at La Lumiere School. In the summertime, Kelly continues her true passion—teaching lessons and clinics for golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Service has always been at the heart of their work. Both Stephen and Kelly have volunteered with PGA HOPE, supporting local veterans through golf, and they remain committed to being active members of the South Bend and Michiana community. When they’re not repairing clubs or helping golfers improve, you’ll find the two of them playing hockey together or out on the course enjoying the game they love.
